JC Penney’s new ad for Father’s Day
The text reads:
“First Pals: What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver—all rolled into one. Or two.” The text at the bottom reads: “Real-life dads, Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children Claire and Mason.”
This fills me with such good feelings.

inspired by last summer’s portrait series “i have a crush on you,” this summer i’m doing a series of portraits of pop culture women i love, called “the ladies.” and who better to start with than the GIRLS themselves? for better or for worse i am a huge fan of the show, and i had a great time drawing these confused 20-somethings.
